Meltdown are a South Yorkshire based 3 piece classic rock/metal band, cover songs by bands spanning over 4 decades, covering bands such as AC/DC, Free, Van Halen, ZZ Top, Guns N Roses and Black Sabbath.
The band formed in Summer 2003, when born and bred yorkshire lad Liam Maden met a southerner called Jack Rowe. After a wealth of failed lineups and countless lifeless gigs, the band struck gold when drumming whizz Adam Taylor and guitar slinging genius Leroy Smith joined the band. The band played all over South Yorkshire, gaining a following wherever they went, and also recorded a demo in August 2004.
But all was not meant to be, as, in October 2005, Leroy decided that he wanted to write his own material, so he left the band.... for a week, then came back, only to leave again a month later.
The band continued as a 3 piece until Jully 2006, when they recruited guitarist Carl Wragg into the ranks!!
In late 2007, Carl Wragg and Adam Taylor left the band, to be replaced by new drummer/vocalist Michael Watson.
